BIO
I was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1979. I have been dedicated to the world of cinematographic lighting for over 20 years.
Once I graduated in Audiovisual Communication from Francisco de Vitoria University, I immediately began working as a lighting technician. My training in this department is ongoing; you never stop learning. I started in a lighting warehouse and gradually rose through the ranks until today, where I am a lighting technician.
I've always worked in the world of commercial filming, a demanding and competitive, but very exciting sector .
On a personal level, I love this job. I'm fascinated by light and everything you can do with it—making it do what you want, telling stories with light. That's why a good relationship with the Director of Photography (Cinematographer) is so important, understanding what they're looking for, understanding their passion, and being able to translate it to a technical level. I'm always evolving and seeking new challenges.
That's why I've also been a Lighting Teacher for over 5 years , and I love being able to share with my students everything I've learned over the years.
